The unique designs and patterns of handmade kilim allow for the fabric to stretch. Some of our oldest kilims are hand spun, which creates a lumpy textured yarn and part of the visual charm. Within minutes of wearing the shoes, the fabrics can adjust to your foot and once adjusted it will hold their shape.
The shoe must fit the length of the foot but it often will be tight across the toes initially. They all stretch in width but the shoe must be comfortable in length so that your toe is not cramped and shoe should not slip off the heel with each step.
Please note: Our kilims that were bought in the medina or souks in Istanbul and by using them in our shoes these are up-cycled items. All our partners [cobblers, agents, buyers] receive a fair compensation and we work in partnership on all of our designs and color patterns.
